What's up with Arnold, PA?

We're at Phillip's Lounge in Arnold, PA tomorrow night, and the show is already sold out--more than 300 tickets have been sold. I know it's been a while since I've played in Arnold, New Kensington, or Tarentum, but none of these places is too far from Blawnox, and I'm not getting 300 people to pay in advance to see us in Moondog's. So what's up with this?

Meanwhile...All the recording on the new CD is finished. We'll be mixing during the next week, then we'll be working on the cover and going into production. I'm still predicting a release sometime around the end of May or early June. I'll keep you posted.

Understand that up in Arnold/New Ken they don't get out much but do have the ability to recognize some culture when it comes to town.
I've always loved that area and spent a lot of time there fishing.
Speaking of your CD mix. How do you like the horn section to sound? Dry, like Willie Mitchell? -for example. And, what are some of the better sounding recorded sections that you've heard?

You hit it on the head, Steve--dry, like Willie Mitchell. Love those Hi Records horns, which were usually arranged by Willie's brother James Mitchell.

I am also a big fan of the horns on Bobby Bland's Duke recordings, with the Joe Scott Orchestra.

I think you will like the horns on East End Avenue. The guys wrote some terrific parts, and they play them beautifully.

No need to reply but whoever arranged and recorded the horns on Otis Clay's 'I'll Take You to Heaven Tonite' really did a great job. Also the lines on TD's 'Homewrecker' are to me, endlessly clever in their simplicity. You can't leave out 'Mr Bigstuff' either. There is a plethora of great section work out there- 'Express Yourself' now comes to mind. I remember when you covered that tune.
I reckon there are a lot of your fans looking forward to the CD. Are you taking pre-orders?
