Clean sweep for Jon Tiven at the Blues Music Awards
Jon Tiven, co-writer of six songs (five with me) on East End Avenue, our new CD, made a clean sweep last night at the 2006 Blues Music Awards. Jon produced Think of Me, the last CD recorded by Little Milton before his death. The CD won Album of the Year and Soul/Blues Album of the Year, and the title song won Song of the Year. Little Milton also won Soul/Blues Male Artist of the Year.
Congratulations to Jon, and let's start campaigning now for Keep It to Yourself, The Other Side of You, The Big Show, The Price I Paid for Loving You, Push Me to My Limit, and Sweet Mistreatin' Love for Song of the Year next year so that Jon can make it two years in a row.
We'll be announcing the availability of East End Avenue soon on our blog and web site as well as on our email list. We're about two weeks away.
