Many years later
Friends,
On Saturday, October 7, the Billy Price Band and I will head for Richmond, Virginia for my first Richmond appearance in many years at the 30th annual High On the Hog barbecue festival in Libby Hill Park, along with the Bopcats, Memphis Rockabilly Band, and the Good Humor Band. Later the same night, we will be playing at J.M. Randalls in Williamsburg, VA, with two shows beginning at 10:00 pm.
The last time I played High on the Hog was in 1983 with Billy Price and the Keystone Rhythm Band, shortly before we recorded our third album, Live, at the Wax Museum in Washington, DC. As fortune would have it, two former members of the Keystone Rhythm Band from those days, Tom Valentine (bass) and David Ray Dodd (drums) will be playing with the Billy Price Band in Richmond and Williamsburg on October 7. As fortune would also have it, we have just released the aforementioned live album along with Free at Last from 1988 on a single CD: Live & Free at Last on Bonedog Records (BDRCD-21) is now available on our Web site. I'm especially pleased that Free at Last is available again after being out of stock for the past couple of years.

And speaking of recordings, please don't forget about East End Avenue, the latest CD from the Billy Price Band, which continues to amass sales, rave reviews, and worldwide airplay. I'm also happy to report that East End Avenue is now available for download from Apple iTunes.
Upcoming appearances by the BP Band closer to home include festivals in Butler (this Saturday), Scottdale (this Sunday), and Bedford PA; club dates in Arnold, Blawnox (good ol Moondog's), Bridgeville, and White Oak, PA; and shows in Upper Marlboro, MD and in New Castle, DE for the Diamond State Blues Society. Please see our schedule for full details.
Thanks for reading, and we hope to see you soon!
Soulfully yours,
Billy Price

Billy,
As a displaced Pittsburgher I was wondering when you are going to come to Atlanta again??? It has probably been 20 years since we saw you here!! Would love to see you in our city.
I think we've a few little rumblings from Atlanta lately, but nothing to get too excited about. I would love to travel down to Atlanta again some day with the band, though. I remember some great gigs at The Moonshadow way back in the 80s.
Knew a fine singer from Atlanta back then named Billy Sheffield. I wonder what ever happened to him.

Billy,
I received you Live and Free at Last CD. I tell you, music just does not get any better. I am enjoying it so much. Thanks. It is going to be easy to fill my Christmas gift list this year. Between the live/free at last and East End Ave. I can easily make a lot of people very happy. GOOD music is always a great gift.I still wish that you played the SouthWest / Houston. It was great seeing you live in Altoona. it was Awesome, I am glad I went.

We were in Williamsburg for the show at JM Randalls. The place isn't real big but what can be wrong about being upfront and close to Pittsburgh's Premier Soul Man? We looked forward to this show for weeks and afterwards we slipped in East End Avenue and jammed the whole way home. Don't ever change, Billy. Pittsburgh always uses the Steelers as their claim to fame but when it comes to music - man, you are their shining star.
Billy,
I was listening to "Live" last night going to work (in Las Vegas), it brought back so many great memories of sooooo many nights watching you on stage!!! I hope to be back to Pgh in the spring, if you're gonna be at Moondogs in April or May, I'll schedule around that!!! Love ya!
Billy,
I was the person who emailed you about coming to ATL. In your response you asked about Billy Sheffield. I just saw where he has a new CD you can check him out at www.billsheffieldblues.com Keep working towards ATL. Thanks for the music and I love the new CD

Billy became Bill, and is still a very fine singer--and guitarist. He was an accomplished guitarist back in the day, but didn't need to play the instrument with his bands "Cool Breeze" and "The XL's."
Bill's doing great work, although no longer in the R'n'B/blue-eyed soul genre; he's doing blues/roots music. His website is http://www.BillSheffield.com and I've uploaded many videos of him at http://www.Video.Google.com.
