Upcoming Holiday Shows
We have some exciting shows that we have coming up during the next couple of months, and I hope that you will consider attending at least one of them if you're nearby--or even if you're not.
This coming Wednesday night, the night before Thanksgiving, we will be playing the annual Johnstown Free Medical Clinic benefit concert at the Ace's Lounge in Johnstown, PA, where I have been playing for my friend Fred Babich for...well, for a damn long time. We are proud to be sharing the stage with Glenn Pavone and the Cyclones, with my former Billy Price & the Keystone Rhythm Band bandmates Glenn and bass player Tom Valentine. It should be a great time and a great night of music for a good cause.
Our one and only Pittsburgh area show during the holiday season will be at the Palisades Ballroom in McKeesport, PA on Sunday, December 20 at 8:00 pm--a great, spacious venue with a big dance floor. The last time we were at the Palisades, in September, we played with Washington D.C.'s Nighthawks, alternating songs throughout the night for two full sets, all on the same stage. Read what Jim White of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette wrote about that great evening.
In fact, that evening was so much fun that we will be playing with the Hawks in the same format on January 1, 2010, New Year's Day, at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA at 7:30 pm. And the night before, on New Year's Eve, we'll be traveling to one of my favorite clubs, the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC, where I haven't performed for far too long.

Hey Billy! I am bringing a big group to see you and the Nighthawks on January 1st at the Birchmere. Will we see a performance like the one you did on September 11th at the Palisades? It sounds like it was a blast. I have been listeninig to you since Roy Buchanon. I have been coming to see you since the days of the Bayou, Desperados, and the Cellar Door in DC. Okay - I am old, but I ain't deaf and I still love your music. See you next year!
Hi Cheryl, thanks for writing. Glad you will be at the Birchmere. Yes, we will do the same format that we described for the Palisades on Sept. 11. Thanks so much for your support!
We made it to the Cradle in Carrboro about 11 last night, had never seen you and your band before, and we were blown away. Wish we had gotten there earlier. Thanks to all of you for coming back to Carrboro; I wish there had been more of us there but the people who knew to be at the show had a great time. And you're still converting new fans like us. A perfect way to begin 2010. Thanks for such a fine show that reminded me of how there's nothing better than great live music.
Thanks Melissa--glad you were at the Cradle!
Hey Billy and the Uptights Reunion please. LOL Canteen 1966,67 FLHS. Been talking to Ty. He is coming to Florida. Hope you are well sir. Lots of great memories and I can still hear!!
Love ya babe,
Liz Allee
